CREATE BONSAI TREE -- Bonsai Trees are grown under training conditions until they reach the desired size and trunk thickness and are only then transferred to bonsai pots. Bonsai trees grows very slowly once they are in bonsai pots, that is the object of the pot, to slow down growth to reduce leaf and twig size. Trees must be carefully trained to achieve the beautiful shapes most people associate with bonsai. The simplest definition for bonsai is a plant in a pot. The Bonsai tree is a miniature piece of breathtaking natural scenery grown in a small pot. But bonsai is so much more than a tree treated like a house plant. It is plant art, or sculpture to be more accurate. Bonsai require skilled care to survive and to blossom into magnificent specimen plants.

Step By Step Building Koi Pond
KOI POND -- Building a koi pond is different from a water garden because koi limit the amount of plant life available to be grown. A water garden typically contains both goldfish and a variety of aquatic plants. A koi pond should also be larger because koi Fish get quite large despite the size of the pond, it is recommended that a koi pond be no less than 1000 gallons in volume, the bigger the better. It also needs to have an area of the pond at least 3 feet deep, 4 - 5 may be better. Large Koi Pond make Koi growth bigger.

Why Koi Pond Use Air Pump
AIR PUMP -- Aeration, in one word, sums up the reason why your Koi pond needs an air pump. Pond aeration is as essential to ponds as air, particularly oxygen, is essential for us to live. In lakes and ponds, not only fish are dependent on dissolved oxygen (DO) supply in the water. Many other organisms in the water also depend on it to function well and survive. A shortage of oxygen opens a Pandora’s Box of problems to your pond’s water quality and clarity, which can rapidly escalate to fish deaths sooner than you expect. So unless you are willing to take the risk of suffering the consequences from poor pond aeration, a pond air pump is a must.

Water Plants For Koi Pond
WATER PLANT -- Are there practical reasons for growing aquatic plants? Nutrition is the first reason for success in Koi aquaculture. Plants as a food supplement supply this at the lowest cost. Five plants are the most common plants in water gardening and fish love them. Grow these plants in a protected area of the pond. This will allow the plants to produce vegetation faster than the fish can devour them.

Why Pond Filter Get Dirty
Koi pond filter consist of mechanical, biological and chemical chamber. In the biological chamber must not have debris as dirty particle. But Even biofilters get dirty. This can be in many forms and of many descriptions. In the most fundamental case, 'dirt' is macro debris that is carried to the biofilter from the greater pond environment. This can be leafs, seeds, acorns, fish pellets , insects and feces. These really should never get to the biofilter ( which is more accurately called a bio-reactor and not a filter at all) as every pond should have a first line of defense in the way of a skimmer basket and pre-filter. A prefilter is a concept more than a piece of equipment. The WAY your prefilter words and how efficient it is, further describes want you prefiltration approach is.

Why Multiple Chamber Filter Needed
MULTI CHAMBER FILTER -- Proper filter system requires a good prefilter to keep the dirt from reaching the biological chambers. A proper filter should be as large as you can fit. A proper filter system should consist of multiple chambers filter to promote stability. Two to three chambers is good, three or more chambers is even better. Each pond will acquire it’s own unique state of balance. Be flexible. Observe your pond water conditions and your fish every day. You are aqua-culturists. You must learn to culture stable Living Water. A good multiple chamber filter system is critical in establishing this stability.

Using Rock On The Bottom Of Koi Pond
Using Rock on the bottom of Koi Pond is old debate. The debates have been very heated and at times gotten out of control. Rocks will trap debris and create a breeding ground for parasites and bacteria. If left unchecked it will eventually create a highly toxic environment and claim the lives of your koi.
